2. Nityam’ Shudham’ mantra
In Ananda Marga the following mantra is chanted at the end of collective meditation and is immediately followed by Guru Puja mantra.
NITYAM’ SHUDHAM’ NIRABHASAM’
eternal, pure, indescribable entity
NIRAKARAM’ NIRANJANAM
formless, without blemish
NITYABODHAM’ CIDANANDAM’
omniscient, blissful consciousness
GURUR BRAHMA NAMAMYAHAM
to Guru-Brahma* , I surrender
* to the Guru who is Supreme Consciousness
3. Guru Puja mantra
Below is the Guru Puja mantra – an ancient Sam’skrta (Sanskrit) mantra that is repeated at the end of every meditation by those initiated into Ananda Marga meditation. This mantra is part of a practice called Varnaghyadana which means “the offering of colours of the mind”. This is best learn in person by one’s initiating ácharya, or by an experienced member of Ananda Marga.
