Welcome

Today, the interest in meditation is growing rapidly. While many start meditation to deal with stress, anxiety, pain or depression, others are interested to progress in their emotional lives, relationships, life purpose and spiritual development. In this website you will find practical techniques that will be beneficial in all these areas.

The approach to meditation taken here has its origins in the ancient India science of yoga. Indeed, in the full yoga system, meditation is the primary practice, supported, we can say, by physical yoga postures. In fact, yoga is a truly wholistic science working on the physical, mental and consciousness (or “spiritual”) levels. Not only that, the original yoga teachings were not only about individual development of a person but very much about the development of society.

The ideas and practices presented in this website come from the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, also known as Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar. Shrii Shrii Anandamurti was the founder of the Ananda Marga organisation which he created in India in 1955 with two primary objectives:

  1. to popularise the authentic and ancient yoga and meditation practices of India for the modern world
  2. to carry out social service and relief work globally

Practical treasures

People already established in other yogic or spiritual traditions will also find many valuable practices here that can enhance their own practice, such as half-bath that instantly refreshes and revitalises the body. Search Practices in the Category menu.

Advanced content

This website contains introductory material that is suitable for people wanting to learn meditation and spirituality from the yoga and tantra perspectives. However, there is also material that is of a highly advanced nature (think advanced physics or chemistry which presuppose a thorough background in those subjects) that will likely be incomprehensible to a new seeker. For those already familiar with tantra philosophy click on Advanced in the Category menu.
